Lifecycle
Every released version of KDE Linux is guaranteed to be able to update to the latest one for the entire duration of the project — either directly, or by updating to a newer version, and then from that one to the latest version.
Support period
Each released version of KDE Linux is supported until the next one is released. Users are expected to update regularly and ensure they are using the latest version.
End-of-life policy
In the end that KDE Linux is discontinued because no contributors are available or can be recruited to continue the project, a final update will be made available that transforms KDE Linux into another Linux-based operating system. The exact choice here would be based on which team KDE has a good relationship with whose OS could take on all the new users at such a time.
