The NVIDIA Situation

NVIDIA GPUs using an architecture older than Turing (this means anything older than GTX 1630) require NVIDIA’s proprietary kernel modules. These modules cannot be loaded at runtime because the base OS is image-based, and pre-installing them appears to fall in a legal gray area. To be safe, KDE Linux doesn’t include them.

较新的 NVIDIA 显卡 (图灵架构/GTX 1630 及更新型号) 可使用 NVIDIA 开源内核模块，这些模块可合法、明确地随基础操作系统一并分发，因此 KDE Linux 已预装。必需的 NVIDIA 用户空间驱动程序和工具也已预装，因此这些显卡应可即插即用，无需额外配置。
